Risk assessment

The local play park is in the heart of the village and is in a very safe fenced-off area.

Several years ago, the Parish Council funded a set of goal posts to make the most of the open space available; these have remained very popular, giving youngsters of all ages a chance to run around and practice their football skills.

In 2016, the equipment was updated with the help of a grant from Malmesbury Area Board. The local children and families were consulted on the choice of equipment they would like through an information board at the Church fete. The trail of equipment installed directly reflects the results of the consultation and it was installed to BSEN & RoSPA standards. The trail across the park is attractive, exciting and challenging aiming to encourage people into the outdoors and enjoy the beautiful area of Little Somerford.

The play park also has a picnic bench. The old equipment was repainted in November 2017.
